From the 24 -26 August 2016, the Chrysalis Academy in South Africa facilitated their fourth 3-day Gender Reconciliation workshop, a method founded by Dr Will Keepin and Rev Cynthia Brix.
This time it was more special as we facilitated it ourselves, after some of us completed the year long facilitators training. Well done to Kenna Cormie, Lucille Meyer, Mkhanyisile Nogwaja and Tristan Johannes (who is still in training). Participants said that it was an extraordinary learning experience which deepened their understanding of gender issues. We all interrogated our own deeply held prejudices and assumptions about men and women; I remain convinced of the power of this transformative process.
