Training Information and Application

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI) Training.

The GERI training in the United States will begin in June 2018. Please contact us if you are interested in hosting and organizing a training in your country.

This professional training is for therapists, health care professionals, spiritual and religious leaders and seekers, activists, community leaders, and students, as well as facilitators and trainers involved in peacebuilding, reconciliation, conflict resolution, and gender justice. Adults of all faiths, sexual orientations, race, national and ethnic origin, and cultural backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to apply.

This Training offers three (3) different Tracks. On the application form you will be asked to choose the track you are interested in pursuing. Every trainee must successfully complete Track I before applying to Track II or III.

Track I is the foundational training program in Gender Equity and Reconciliation. Track I is a deep immersion into gender and is a requirement that all trainees must successfully fulfill before applying for subsequent trainings. Track I may be taken on its own without pursuing any further tracks. Those trainees who successfully completed and graduate from Track I will be certified as a Level I GERI facilitator and enables you to facilitate GERI presentations and Tasters.

Individuals interested in continuing their training toward certification as a Level II GERI facilitator must apply at the end of Track I and be accepted into Track II and subsequently into Track III to become a candidate for certification as a Gender Equity and Reconciliation Facilitator.

Track II, Internship Program, is for those who have successfully completed Track I and wish to work toward becoming Level II Facilitators of Gender Equity and Reconciliation International. (Additional application process required). Interns gain valuable field experience by apprenticing and helping to organize and facilitate Gender Equity and Reconciliation programs. The internship process varies in length of time for completion involving anywhere from approximately one to three years.

Track III, Facilitation Level II Certification. After successful completion of Tracks I and II, a trainee may apply to become a certified Level II Facilitator of Gender Equity and Reconciliation Introductory workshop. Conferred upon those fulfilling all requirements and review process with GERI training team.

Please read through this application carefully. Your responses are kept confidential. We appreciate the responses you give as it helps us to get to know you better and understand more fully why you are interested in this training. Answering these questions does not automatically include or exclude an applicant from the GERI Training.

If you are unable to complete this online application due to limited internet access or any other reason, please send us an email.

In support of your application, we also ask that you provide recommendations from two professionals who know you; these could be teachers, community leaders, therapists, spiritual or religious mentors, etc. Please have your references include their reflections on your personal character, as well as comments regarding your professional skills and attributes that would support your participation in the Gender Equity and Reconciliation International Training. Please have your references email the recommendation letter to: training@GRworld.org.

Your non-refundable application fee of $50 can be paid online through Paypal when you submit this application, or if preferred you can make a check out to Satyana Institute, our non-profit organization, and mail it to: P.O. Box 1324, Freeland, WA 98249. Your application will not be proceed until payment is received.

We will be in touch after your application is received and reviewed. This process can take up to 4-6 weeks, depending on the number of applications we receive. Please be patient. Upon acceptance, further information will be sent along with additional forms to sign.

Please note that you may not offer Gender Equity and Reconciliation workshops or events or use any GERI materials or activities until you have completed all of the training requirements and have been certified as a Gender Equity and Reconciliation International facilitator by GERI.
