Prerequisite for out-of-country Applicants for Training Program

Warm greetings from Gender Reconciliation International. Thank you for your interest in applying to our Professional Immersion and Facilitation training. Our training programs in India, South Africa, and the US are mainly designed for those living in these countries.  However, this does not preclude those living elsewhere.  We would be very grateful if you could respond to the six questions below.  We will then review your responses, and let you know if you are eligible to complete the rest of the training application.

Name:*
Address:*
Phone:*
-
E-mail:*
1.       What is the name of your organization, and in which city/region of your country are you based? If your organization has a website, please provide it.*
2.       Are you specifically interested in the Professional Immersion and Facilitation training, or first experiencing the Gender Equity and Reconciliation approach? If the latter, you may be more interested in participating in a three-day Gender Equity and Reconciliation workshop prior to the Training.  Please let us know which is your preference?*
3. Do you have the financial resources to travel to the country in which you wish to attend the training to participate in each of the four modules of the training, as well as the internship, and the resources to cover training tuition and accommodation? Please confirm that you can access the resources to cover these costs.*
Please add any comments if necessary:
4.       Gender Reconciliation workshops are generally facilitated by gender-balanced teams of four. This is because if only one person from a country or a specific region participates in the training, they would not be able to facilitate workshops in their own country alone - three additional facilitators would have to travel there each time, which is often not feasible. Are you potentially willing to explore recruiting 1-3 additional individuals (female and male) from your country/city to join the training? *
Please let us know how likely it is that you could recruit others from your city or country to join the training too? Please note that doing so is not a requirement, but an encouragement.*
5.       As you are probably aware, gender issues vary across countries and cultures.  GRI always tries to work within the cultural context of the region or country that we are holding a training or workshop.  Have you researched, and are you comfortable with the current key gender issues in the country in which the training you are applying to will be held?*
6.       Please note that if you need a letter of support for a visa application to attend our training, you will be required to provide GRI with two recommendation letters and, if  you are representing an organization, you will be required to submit a letter of support from your Executive Director to GRI. Will you be able to provide these letters? *

Many thanks for your responses to these questions! We will come back to you shortly. Warm regards from the GRI Team!
