Forty-eight leaders, including evangelical pastors and gender equality activist from the States, India, and one man from Rwanda, came together last week near Boston with open hearts and a sincere desire to reach out across the veils of gendered wounding and misunderstanding, to seek the means of genuine healing and reconciliation as they participated in a Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI) invitational workshop, April 30 – May 2.

In our time together, we shared our personal gender stories, held witness and listened deeply to each other; we laughed together, cried together, celebrated together, and through it all, came to know one another as friends and began to reawaken the rightful harmony, balance, and mutual reverence in which we are called to live.

We are deeply grateful to Emily Nielsen-Jones, founding partner of the Imago Dei Fund for co-convening/co-hosting this invitational gathering with Gender Equity and Reconciliation International (GERI). We also extend a heartfelt thanks to our co-hosts: Ross Jones, Michele and Tim Breene, Adele and Doug Calhoun, Gloria and Ray Hammond for co-hosting this gathering. The workshop was facilitated by our international team of trainers and facilitators – William Keepin, Cynthia Brix, Judy Bekker, Louis Laurens Botha Gaum, Garrett Evans, and Mangesh Pol.
